Magical Mystery Man describes life as a country musician and a cowboy as told by a true country music poet.  Living the highs and lows of life in the rodeo, knowing the pain of sacrifice and isolation, and the rewards of putting your heart and soul into a passion, winning and losing, disappointment and victory, all the trials and tribulations of a modern-day cowboy drip from these tunes.  Billy's vocals are timeless, his stories are real and heartfelt, and the melodies capture that wild west spirit in all of us, speaking to it, luring it out and raising it up.

The trail of Billy Chernoff's (aka Billy Charne) career, and indeed life, is as rich with history and diversity as is his music.  Along the way, he has collaborated with many inspiring writers, producers and artists such as;  Brent Mason, Milton Sledge, Buzz Rabin, Bud Fisher, Pete Wade, Weldon Myrick, Ronny Light, Neil Merritt, Jerry Guthrie, Larry and Lorrie Collins, Jimmy Snow, Skeeter Davis, Ben Keith, Charlie McCoy, Carl Walden, Chet Atkins, Cindy Walker, Ronny Hinson, Waylon Jennings, D.J. Fontanna, Tillman Franks, and Scotty Moore. 

Billy is credited with numerous Canadian and US hit singles, most notably "Susie's Better Half" (his very first release and an immediate Top 5), "When You Were a Lady" and "To Ma Ray Tom O Ray" (both Canadian Number #1's).  These singles, earned him two Certificates of Honour from BMI Canada; lofty acclamations, putting Billy in such company as Leonard Cohen, Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings. 

Life Songs, Billy's third album, is the one that every distinguished artist gets the chance to do.  A release that was a bit of a departure from what he had done in the past.  This album defines the virtues and spiritual side of Billy - and is a good fit for a listener with a deeper understanding.  Billy's second album, Fresno Rodeo, garnered him attention in the Western US, which resulted in Billy's performance on the Country Music Association of Texas’ Awards Show.  Also worthy of note is "Sally in Dallas" (a cover which went to #2 in Europe).  The title track "Fresno Rodeo" previously recorded and produced by Sussex Records for Billy's first album Lookin' Up, was nominated by Casey Tibbs for a Heritage Award for the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City.  Billy Chernoff a former RCA recording artist, has nailed his forth album, in which his vocals are unparalleled, he has come full circle, Magical Mystery Man is indeed Billy Chernoff.
